MY APPROACH
Therapy begins with me listening respectfully and attentively to your story. My goal is to understand your unique needs, season of life, and what progress would feel like to you. I offer a compassionate space, skilled listening, and twenty years of experience. In our work together you can expect me to be warm, active, and direct.
How long therapy takes and how often we meet varies. Once I know a little more about you, we will create a plan for how to best move forward. My work with people includes both short term and longer term therapy.
I draw from several schools of therapy: Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Mindfulness, Emotionally Focused (EFT), Positive Psychology, & latest developments in trauma & brain research.
