Individual Therapy

I work with people seeking therapy for a variety of reasons:

COUPLES THERAPY & COACHING

Couples seek therapy for a variety of reasons. If you and your partner would like support in communication, conflict resolution, or more intimacy, I'd be happy to talk about working together.

NAVIGATING SEXUAL DESIRE DIFFERENCE IN COUPLES

This is a common issue and I enjoy helping couples navigate this. I help people 1)communicate their feelings in ways that increase the likelihood of being heard; 2)understand personal, relational, or physiological dynamics at play; and 3)shift old patterns that may be exacerbating tension in this area.

(This work can also be used with people who want to explore this in individual therapy.)


CO-PARENTING & PARENTING COACHIng

I coach parents on how to work well together for their children when navigating a separation or divorce. Couples who are together but having difficulty with parenting are also welcome.

I facilitate conversations to help you find what you can agree on in the best interest of your children. I may provide information about what kids need at different developmental stages, particularly as they adjust to a new family configuration. We then work on planning, implementation, and productive communication.


SKILLS-BASED THERAPY IN INDIVIDUAL THERAPY: CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral) & DBT (Dialectical-Behavioral)

I offer skills based therapy focused on shifting thought patterns, core beliefs, and improving one's ability to handle difficult emotions. This is often helpful for those who have done a lot of talk therapy but feel stuck with stubborn beliefs and patterns, and may want more support in the action department. This can also be useful for those who simply want a period of short-term solution focused skill building.
